Teuku Faizasya, spokesman for the Indonesian Foreign Ministry, said that the ambassadors of Russia and Ukraine would personally attend the democratic forum to be held in Bali on December 8. His words are reported by the Antara agency.

“The ambassadors of both countries confirmed that they were going to the forum in Bali from Jakarta,” Faizasya said.

The representative of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry noted that at the forum, the participating countries will be able to adopt various "democratic practices" from each other, and there are many "conflicting" countries on the list of 57 participants.

In 2022, the Bali Democracy Forum is held under the motto "Democracy in a Changing World: Leadership and Solidarity".

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow sees no prospects for negotiations with Kyiv. According to him, for a peaceful settlement with Ukraine, it is necessary to fulfill all the tasks of a special military operation - the demilitarization and denazification of the country, as well as the protection of Donbass.

Prior to this, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said at The Wall Street Journal WSJ CEO Summit that the Ukrainian crisis would most likely be resolved through peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
