Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow sees no prospects for negotiations with Kyiv.

“The fact that the outcome of what is happening should be a just and lasting peace is one can agree with this. But as for the prospects for some kind of negotiations, we do not see them at the moment. We have repeatedly talked about this, ”Peskov said.

According to Peskov, for peace negotiations with Ukraine, it is necessary to fulfill all the tasks of a special military operation - the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine and the protection of Donbass.

Earlier in Germany, they called the real reason for Kyiv's refusal to negotiate with Moscow.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
