President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky paid for the title of "Person of the Year" with the lives of his own citizens. This was stated in an interview with Pravda.Ru by the Senator from the Republic of Crimea Sergey Tsekov. He stressed that the Ukrainian leader did nothing to end the conflict, despite the opportunities and promises he made during the election race.

“He promised peace, but brought war to the territory of Ukraine. For this title, "Person of the Year", many lost their lives. And all this, first of all, is the result of his activities for this year,” Tsekov said.

He added that Zelensky became the person of the year, but his country collapsed. Now he can only be proud of his new title, the senator concluded.

The publication says that many Ukrainians, before the start of the Russian military special operation, “were writing off the president, considering him an amateur who is not able to cope with the responsibility of a high position.”
