Israel will not allow outside jurisdictions to investigate the actions of its military, said Jewish Prime Minister Yair Lapid in connection with the decision of the Qatari television channel Al Jazeera to file a lawsuit in the International Criminal Court against Israel in the case of the death of journalist Shirin Abu Akle in the West Bank of the river Jordan, reports TASS.

According to Lapid, no one will investigate the actions of the Israel Defense Forces and "read sermons" about the principles of morality during the fighting.

“Definitely not Al Jazeera,” said the prime minister, whose words were circulated by the press service of the Israeli government.

Earlier, Al Jazeera reported that it had filed a lawsuit with the ICC against Israel in the case of the death of its journalist.

As stated in the Qatari holding's appeal to the ICC prosecutor, new eyewitness accounts and video footage confirm that Shirin and her colleagues were fired upon directly by Israeli "occupying forces."
