The head of the Armenian standing parliamentary commission on foreign relations, Eduard Aghajanyan, said that proposals on a draft peace agreement had been received from Baku, TASS reports.

“Yes, indeed, the Armenian side received proposals from Azerbaijan, which, in fact, are a response to the proposals of the Armenian side. We can say that the third stage of proposals is being discussed. I can’t imagine any other details,” Agadzhanyan said.

He added that the meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is quite likely to take place before the end of the year. As an alternative, Aghajanyan allowed a meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Earlier, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported that negotiations on a peace treaty with Armenia could take place before the end of the year.

Foreign Minister of the country Jeyhun Bayramov during the meeting with Sergey Lavrov said that Azerbaijan is aimed at resolving the conflict with Armenia as soon as possible.
