Pristina will apply for EU membership before the end of this year, President of the unrecognized Kosovo Vyosa Osmani said ahead of the EU-Western Balkans summit in the Albanian capital, TASS reports.

“Kosovo will apply for EU membership at the end of this year, and we are counting on universal support,” she said.

According to her, it is time for the European Union to move "from words to actions."

As the leader of the unrecognized Kosovo stated, this summit is not a negotiating platform between Belgrade and Pristina.

According to her, she is present at the summit as the leader of one of the most pro-European countries. She noted that Kosovo has shown this in action when it comes to pro-European action.

“We need the EU to move from words to actions, such as visa liberalization in the EU. This is a meeting between the EU and the Western Balkans, not negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia,” Osmani said.

She accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić of continuing the old way of thinking and that he needs to finally decide whether he is on the side of Russia or on the side of Ukraine.

Earlier it became known that the Serbian intelligence was headed by a pro-Russian politician.
