Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin now sees no prospects for negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv on a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. He said this during a briefing with reporters.

The Kremlin spokesman stressed that Russia must first achieve all the goals of a special military operation, and only after that it is possible to think about a peace treaty.

"It will be done!" Peskov stressed.

Earlier, Peskov said that negotiations between the Russian Federation and the United States, which American leader Joe Biden had previously mentioned, are impossible as long as the American side insists on the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
