At the Antakalnis cemetery in Vilnius, the dismantling of six stelae of the largest memorial in Lithuania, erected in memory of the Soviet soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War, has begun. The fact that the Vilnius authorities have begun to demolish the memorial, TASS reports with reference to the capital's municipality.

Representatives of the municipality indicated that the preparatory activities that started last week have been completed. “The contractor proceeds with the direct dismantling of the steles,” the press service added.
