FSB asks court to arrest in absentia Ukrainian Minister Vereshchuk and Deputy Minister Dzhaparova

Investigators of the Federal Security Service of Russia are asking the Lefortovo Court of Moscow to arrest in absentia Minister for Reintegration of Uncontrolled Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk and First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the court.

It is noted that Ukrainian politicians are accused of violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation (280.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), they are put on the international wanted list.

FSB investigators are asking the district court to take Vereshchuk and Dzhaparova into custody from the moment they are actually detained, extradited or deported to Russia. The minister and deputy minister, if detained, could face up to 10 years in prison.

Earlier it was reported that the Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan arrested Ukrainian businessmen Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov in absentia, accused of embezzling more than 800,000 tons of oil.
