French President Emmanuel Macron regularly talks about plans to communicate with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, but no real steps have been taken, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov informed. It is reported by TASS.

“So far he [Makron] talks a lot about this – that he wants to maintain contacts, a dialogue with Putin, but so far no real steps have been taken in this context,” Ushakov explained.

According to him, at the moment there is no agreement between Putin and Macron on a future telephone conversation.

It is known that such a conversation is not exactly planned yet, Ushakov concluded.

Other details of the communication between the head of the Russian Federation and France are not specified.

Earlier, Macron said that he maintains direct contacts with Putin. Macron is confident that the only way out of the conflict lies through negotiations. There are no military options, as the French president noted.
