Putin to visit Bishkek to attend EAEU summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to travel to the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek to take part in the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was announced by the assistant to the Russian leader Yuri Ushakov, reports TASS.

“Yes, on Friday (December 9 - approx.),” Ushakov called the date of the president’s trip.

Earlier it was reported that Putin this week also plans to hold a meeting next week with members of the Security Council (SC) of the Russian Federation.

The Eurasian Economic Union is an international organization of regional economic integration, which has international legal personality, established by the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. Currently, the EAEU includes five countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federation.
