Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrein Oyuun-Erdene believes that corrupt officials are trying to take advantage of the protests caused by large-scale coal theft, TASS reports.

“During the demonstration, the townspeople demanded to name the corrupt officials involved in the theft of coal. However, the thieves tried to politicize yesterday's protests, so the public should be extremely vigilant in this matter. I will firmly say that I will not retreat from my struggle. I will say this very strongly to the coal thieves who organized the demonstration,” the head of the Mongolian government said.

Protesters in Ulaanbaatar broke into a government building amid riots over the theft of coal that was supposed to be exported from Mongolia to China. According to media reports, we are talking about the theft of $ 1.8 billion. The protesters demanded that the names of those involved in the theft be made public and punished.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsannamsrein Oyuun-Erdene said he was not going to dissolve the parliament and government amid protests.
