On December 6, the National Electronic Media Council of Latvia decided to cancel the broadcasting license of the Dozhd TV channel (the organization is included in the list of foreign agents by the Ministry of Justice), TASS reports.

On December 2, the head of the Latvian National Media Council, Ivars Abolins, announced that Dozhd had been fined 10,000 euros due to the appearance on the TV channel of a map on which the Crimean peninsula was included in Russia. Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks announced the start of preparations for the expulsion of Dozhd journalists.
