Dmitry Polyansky, Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, said on his Telegram channel that the UN Security Council will hold a meeting on the situation in Ukraine on December 6.

“On December 6, Westerners again convened a meeting of the Security Council on Ukraine, choosing humanitarian issues and child protection as the topic,” he wrote.

Earlier, the Permanent Representative of India, chairing the UN Security Council in December, Ruchira Cambodge, said at a briefing that the Security Council would hold a meeting on the situation in Ukraine this month.

The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasyl Nebenzya, has previously named one of the goals of the special operation in Ukraine to undermine the combat capability of the Ukrainian army, which, according to him, threatens the security and territorial integrity of Russia. He also stressed that this goal will be implemented by military means until Kyiv takes a position that allows discussing and "trying to resolve" the reasons for the start of the special operation.
