US intervention in the conflict in Ukraine and Washington's desire to make the most of it showed the need to defeat American hegemony. This is stated in an article published in the Chinese edition of Global Times.

The author pointed out that in this conflict, the United States "constantly calls on Europe to oppose Russia and, on the other hand, provokes fierce competition aimed at worsening the European economy."

“As a result, the credibility of the United States from its allies and the international community continues to decline, as does its hegemony, which is masquerading as an “international order” based on rules,” the publication says.

The author also noted that "if the coming decade should be decisive for something, then it should be associated with the defeat of the brutal hegemony" of the United States and "the establishment of true world equality and justice."

Currently, a special operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continues in Ukraine. It was announced on February 24 by Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the purpose of military action is to demilitarize the neighboring country and denazify its authorities.

The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
