US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said at The Wall Street Journal WSJ CEO Summit that the Ukrainian crisis will most likely be resolved through peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

“At some point, most likely, this will end with diplomacy, negotiations,” he said.

Blinken noted that the US wants to achieve "long-term peace, not a fictitious truce."

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin “does not see efforts among European politicians aimed at a diplomatic settlement in Ukraine.”

In addition, journalist Reinhard Lauterbach, in an article for the German edition of Junge Welt, expressed the opinion that Ukraine is trying in every possible way to prolong the conflict and avoid peace negotiations with Russia, all hints from Western countries that this was necessary were rejected.
