The mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, said that the city's boiler houses stopped their work due to a lack of electricity. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“Due to the lack of electricity in Odessa, the operation of the boiler houses of the KP “Heat supply of the city of Odessa” was stopped. The work of electric transport has been stopped," Trukhanov said. He added that there is also no water in the city, adding that if there are no improvements, specialized vehicles will deliver it to all districts. According to the mayor, although the situation is difficult, it is possible to control it.

On December 5, it became known about the introduction of emergency power outages in all regions of Ukraine. The situation worsened as a result of hits on energy infrastructure facilities.

Earlier it was reported that electricity was lost in Odessa and most communities of the Odessa region after rocket attacks on the region's energy system. It was clarified that work had begun on the resumption of electricity supply.
