Germany humiliated the Poles during the Second World War and must pay for it. This was stated by the chairman of the ruling party "Law and Justice" (PiS) Yaroslav Kaczynski, whose words are quoted by the newspaper Do Rzeczy.

The politician stressed that the Nazis "committed incredible crimes, they also terribly humiliated even those Poles who survived." According to him, the inhabitants of the country were forced to work on farms, "humiliated and treated worse than animals."

However, after Germany lost, she was treated "extremely condescending," he continued, otherwise Germany "would be a very poor and much less populated country."

"They owe us - they must pay," the politician stressed.

In October, the Polish authorities published a complete list of demands to the FRG in order to recover compensation from Berlin for the harm caused to the country during the Second World War. Among other things, the Polish Foreign Ministry demands compensation for “material and non-material losses in the amount of 6 trillion 220 billion 609 million zlotys”, as well as the return of “cultural property stolen from Poland”, which are currently located in Germany.
