Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia, said that coming to the aid of those who find it more difficult is a feature of the national Russian character. He told reporters about this, RIA Novosti reports.

“It's part of our cultural code to come to the rescue, no matter how difficult it is. Coming to the aid of those who find it more difficult is a feature of the national Russian character, ”said Kiriyenko.

As the first deputy head of the presidential administration noted, there are a lot of large and small companies in the Russian Federation that take "patronage" of military units or volunteer corps.

According to him, he is glad that Russian business is involved in humanitarian assistance.

He also thanked all caring people and media representatives for promoting volunteer projects.

On December 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian volunteers on Volunteer Day.

According to the president, there are already more than 21 million volunteers in Russia, and this is “a whole huge army.”
