Independent: Truss plans to run for MP

Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss has confirmed that she intends to run again as an MP for South West Norfolk in the next election. It is reported by the Independent with reference to the representative of the British politician.

It is specified that Truss intends to continue active work in parliament as a "back bencher", however, according to the Express newspaper, the ex-premier will not make official statements about his decision.

In October, the Daily Telegraph newspaper wrote that after her resignation from the post of British Prime Minister, Liz Truss would take a break from active political life.

The article stated that Truss had spent more than 10 years in the government in various positions. At the same time, her associates indicated that Truss would continue to be an ordinary member of the House of Commons (lower house) of the British Parliament at least until the next elections in 2024.
