Following the meeting of the State Council Presidium, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to take measures to increase the output of the military-industrial complex (DIC) through the methods of "lean production", TASS reports.

“The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, based on the use of positive experience in increasing labor productivity using lean manufacturing methods, should take measures to ensure an increase in production volumes at priority enterprises of the military-industrial complex,” one of the items in the list of presidential instructions reads.

According to the order, business processes should be aimed at accelerating production by optimizing processes that will not add value to the product or cause “hidden losses”.

It also follows from the words of the president that the Ministry of Industry and Trade should determine the conditions for admission to these enterprises of external experts in lean production

Appropriate measures must be taken before July 1, 2023.

At the end of May, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation had increased the production of everything necessary for the special operation, and was also improving weapons.

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that the military-industrial complex (DIC) of Russia after the end of the conflict in Ukraine will make a qualitative leap.
