A ceasefire will not lead to peace in Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at a meeting with the head of the Episcopal Conference of Italy, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“The head of state emphasized that a ceasefire and freezing of the conflict would not lead to the establishment of peace,” the Ukrainian authorities said in a statement following the meeting.
