Putin promoted two deputy interior ministers

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree conferring the highest military ranks of senior officers. The document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

“Assign special ranks to employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation: Colonel-General of Police - Kubyshko Vladimir Leonidovich, Colonel-General of Justice - Lebedev Sergey Nikolaevich,” the decree says.

The document also states that the rank of Major General of the Police was awarded to the First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Lenar Gabdurakhmanov, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region Alexander Voronezhsky, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Yaroslavl Region Alexei Shkolkin.

On May 17, Putin gave the 50th Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment the honorary title "Guards".
