Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, was outraged by the UN publication about the celebration of the Day of the Russian Language. The corresponding statement was published by the politician on his Twitter page.

“Will there be any other reaction to today's terrorist attack? An organization designed to ensure global security is increasingly turning into a global parody,” Podolyak wrote.

He also accused Russia of undermining the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, which, in his words, "many settlements will disappear from the map."

The destruction of the hydroelectric power station became known on the morning of June 6. The mayor of Nova Kakhovka Vladimir Leontiev said that this happened as a result of the shelling of the Ukrainian side, and called the incident a terrorist attack. As a result of the incident, Novaya Kakhovka was flooded.
