Bulgaria elects new prime minister

The Parliament of Bulgaria has elected 60-year-old member of the National Assembly Nikolai Denkov as the new prime minister of the country. The broadcast was conducted on the website of the Parliament.

Denkov represents the "Keep on the Change" and "Democratic Bulgaria" coalitions.

It is reported that 132 deputies voted for him, 69 voted against Denkov, and there were no abstentions.

Earlier it was reported that the winners of the parliamentary elections in Bulgaria, the parties "Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria" (GERB) and the Union of Democratic Forces (SDS), received the right to form a new government. Bulgarian President Rumen Radev handed over the corresponding mandate to the applicant from the GERB-SDS coalition.

It was noted. that the bloc's candidate for prime minister, European Commissioner for Innovation and Youth Affairs, Maria Gabriel, has officially received the mandate. After receiving the Mandate, Gabriel thanked Radev and promised to do the best for Bulgaria.
