Assault detachments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) use tanks and artillery before the start of the assault on Russian positions. This tactic is described in the material of the American newspaper The New York Times.

The description of the alleged assault says that Ukrainian mortars struck first. “The tank rolled out and opened fire. Then the armored Hummers rushed forward across the field, firing from machine guns,” the publication says, citing the words of one of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, a video of wrecked American MaxxPro armored vehicles used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine appeared on the network. The published footage shows how several abandoned MaxxPros are standing in the field, the shooting is carried out about fifty meters from the lined equipment.
