Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during a speech at the Russian-Tajik Slavic University in Dushanbe, said that building a working dialogue with the radical Taliban (the organization is banned in Russia) as the dominant domestic political force in Afghanistan is in the interests of the region. The glory of a diplomat leads TASS.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the dialogue can ensure both security and economic development of the region, as well as contribute to the reconciliation of political parties in Afghanistan.

At the same time, Lavrov noted that until the Taliban fulfill certain conditions, the Russian Federation cannot guarantee the recognition of their government in Afghanistan. This, in particular, is about the formation of an ethno-politically balanced government, efforts to combat terrorism and the spread of drugs, ensuring basic human rights for all peoples living in the country, including ethnic Tajiks.

Earlier, Zamir Kabulov, director of the second Asian department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that Russia is disappointed with the way the Taliban movement regulates the situation in Afghanistan.
