American voters are generally negative about a possible repeat of the duel between current US President Joe Biden and his predecessor Donald Trump in the 2024 elections, writes The Hill. According to a NewsNation/DDHQ poll, in this scenario, 49% of respondents are willing to consider voting for a third-party candidate, that is, not from the Republican and Democratic parties.

As noted, as a third-party candidate, 21% would like to see Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, another 10% consider former Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney in this regard, and 7% agree with West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin. However, 43% of respondents said they would choose some other candidate for this role.

The Republican and Democratic parties have consistently won US presidential elections since 1852 and have controlled Congress since 1856. At the same time, there are about 40 political parties in the country, but most of them are unknown to the general public due to the dominance of Republicans and Democrats.

Earlier it was reported that in the United States they called a “revenge from hell” a possible repetition of the duel between Biden and Trump in the elections.
