150 tons of engine oil got into the Dnieper after the breakthrough of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine reported that after the breakthrough of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP), more than 150 tons of engine oil got into the Dnieper, the website of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reports.

At the meeting, the head of state was also informed about the risk of another 300 tons of the substance getting into the river.

Earlier, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov spoke about Zelensky's plans to hold a meeting of the council against the backdrop of the situation at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP).

The mayor of Nova Kakhovka, Vladimir Leontiev, called the strikes on the hydroelectric power station, as a result of which water began to uncontrollably be discharged downstream, a serious terrorist attack.
