Ukraine withdrew from the agreement on the exchange of legal information with the CIS countries

Representative of the Government of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk said that the country withdrew from the agreement on the exchange of legal information with the countries of the CIS. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

“We have withdrawn from the agreement on the exchange of legal information signed on October 21, 1994 in Moscow,” he said.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the country's withdrawal from the Memorandum on cooperation in protecting state borders with Belarus and the Russian Federation, as well as on the termination of the Russian-Ukrainian agreement on cooperation and interaction on border issues. The document was published on the website of the head of state.

According to the document, Ukraine withdraws from the Memorandum on cooperation in protecting the state borders of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine, and also terminates the bilateral Russian-Ukrainian agreement on cooperation and interaction on border issues.

It also clarifies that the decree comes into force from the date of publication.
