The breakthrough of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP) will not prevent the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), since Kiev has prepared for such an incident. This was stated by the commander of the Ukrainian joint forces, General Sergei Naev. His words are transmitted by the Telegram channel “Military correspondents of the Russian spring”.

“As for the obstacle to our offensive actions, the military command fully took into account such actions, and accordingly, it should not harm our offensive in those areas where there may be a spill of water,” Naev said.

Earlier, Professor of the Higher School of Hydropower Construction of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Doctor of Technical Sciences Viktor Elistratov said that it would be extremely difficult to restore the Kakhovskaya HPP after the destruction.
