Repair of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station (HPP) is currently impossible. This was stated by the head of the administration of the Novokakhovsk urban district Vladimir Leontiev, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, the station will have to be rebuilt "after our victory." “Obviously, repairing the HPP is now impossible,” Leontiev said.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the incident with the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station occurred as a result of a deliberate sabotage by the Ukrainian side.

The hydroelectric power plant was damaged as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the night of June 6. The head of the administration of Nova Kakhovka, Vladimir Leontiev, called the incident a terrorist attack and stressed that its consequences would be studied.
