The Ukrainian authorities demanded that the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) stop using the facilities of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. This was announced in his Telegram channel by the Minister of Culture of the Republic Alexander Tkachenko.

He said that the day before, the commission of the department for the acceptance and transfer of property of the Lavra completed work in the monastery and confirmed the transfer of its facilities for use to the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra reserve. According to him, representatives of the UOC and monks must leave the monastery within three working days.

“In case of refusal, there will be a court to make an appropriate decision to remove obstacles to the reserve in the use of property,” Tkachenko threatened.

Earlier it was reported that the Solomensky District Court of Kyiv extended the house arrest for 60 days to the rector of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan of the UOC Pavel. It is noted that representatives of the protection of the abbot of the monastery plan to appeal this decision.
