Retired senior lieutenant of the People's Militia of the Donetsk People's Republic (NM DPR), war correspondent Alexander Matyushin, in a conversation with Ura.ru, named the main point of impact of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) in the event of a counteroffensive. In his opinion, they will attack in the direction of Zaporozhye and try to reach the Crimea.

“The place of the main strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is very difficult to get ahead of, because it is impossible to say exactly where it is. Such data is kept secret,” he said.

Matyushin stressed that in this regard, it is possible to predict the main direction of the attack only based on the tactical and strategic benefits from the offensive of the Ukrainian troops. In this case, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will most likely gather the main forces for an attack in the Zaporozhye direction in order to break through to the Crimea, moving through Melitopol along the steppes, he added.

The military commissar also expressed confidence that the Ukrainian soldiers would carry out auxiliary attacks in order to divert the Russian military from the main strike site.

Earlier, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said that Ukrainian citizens are paying with their lives because of the false hopes of victory that Kyiv gives them.
