The business jet that crashed in the United States belonged to Florida-based Encore Motors of Melbourne, whose leadership has sponsored the Republican Party and former President Donald Trump in recent years, writes The New York Times.

According to the newspaper, the plane began to plummet from a height of six thousand meters. On board were the daughter and granddaughter of the head of the company, John Rumpel. There are no survivors, according to NSN.

Journalists noted that Rumpel transferred hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Trump fund. The businessman's wife, Barbara, has direct ties to the ex-president's office.
