Ukraine's allies are waiting for Russia's signal for a peaceful settlement of the ongoing conflict, said Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti. However, the politician added that “it takes two to tango” and that “none of the allies wants to do anything without Ukraine.”

According to the politician, "we are all very interested in peace."

Denmark will supply Kyiv with 19 new artillery systems. Frederiksen added that companies from Denmark will later invest in the restoration of Ukraine. “Denmark will support you for as long as it takes,” the politician said at a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

It was also reported that Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was due to pay an official visit to the United States on June 5. A meeting was scheduled with US leader Joe Biden at the White House.

Earlier, the media reported on the failure of an attempt by the armed forces of Ukraine to conduct a large-scale offensive in five sectors of the front in the South Donetsk direction. Mikhail Khodarenok, a military observer for Gazeta.Ru, investigated whether the actions of the Ukrainian army related to the beginning of the widely announced offensive operation.
