The Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshin, in his Telegram channel, told how the bomb shelters in Kyiv are being checked. He stressed that a third of the shelters had now been checked, adding that they were in poor condition.

“The situation with today's shelters is deplorable. Navigation is almost non-existent. Of the four covered shelters, only one we managed to open and it was hardly suitable for the townspeople to be there. The second was open but cluttered inside,” he wrote, noting that two more bomb shelters could not be opened at all.

He stressed that in total the commission was given 10 days to check the shelters.

Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine checked more than 50 thousand bomb shelters and reported that a third of them were closed or unusable.
