The design and technological electric refueling model of the Angara-A5 heavy launch vehicle arrived at the Vostochny Cosmodrome to work out the preparation of the first flight rocket for launch. This was reported in the state corporation "Roscosmos".

“A train arrived at the Vostochny cosmodrome with blocks of a design and technological electric refueling model of the Angara-A5 launch vehicle (“Angara-NZh”) and special equipment sent from the Omsk branch of the Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center ( is part of Roskosmos),” the message says.

It is noted that the specialists of Vostochny carried out the acceptance of the cars that will be sent to the technical complex of the cosmodrome. After that, Roscosmos specialists will begin comprehensive testing of the Vostochny technical and launch complexes using the Angara-NZh.

The state corporation added that the layout was transported to the spaceport in special containers. When loading the Angara-NZh onto new means of transportation and sending the train to the cosmodrome, their autonomous complex tests and certification began. It will be completed during unloading of rocket mock-up blocks at the technical complex and control checks of the railcar temperature sensor.

The model, which was made at the Polet enterprise, is intended for testing the preparation of the first flight Angara-A5 for launch, as well as for certification of the technical and launch complexes of the Amur missile system at the Vostochny cosmodrome.

In January, Roskosmos reported that the Polet specialists had completed assembly and started pneumatic testing of the second stage of the Angara-NZh.
