The airport in Mariupol is planned to open in 2024-2025.

The Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Saveliev announced the opening of the airport in Mariupol in 2024 or 2025 during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov. It is reported by TASS.

“When the opportunity arises, we will start from Mariupol. We believe that if the situation allows, we will be able to use this airport during 2024-2025,” he said.

The Minister noted that the airports of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye are also subject to restoration, however, they plan to open them later and in stages due to the destruction.

The head of the Ministry of Transport also said that in the new regions of the Russian Federation in 2023 it is planned to repair 760 km of roads.
