NATO plans to expand its headquarters to accommodate new members, Euractiv reports.

According to the newspaper, NATO is considering building an additional building in Brussels, as it tries to find a place for the mission of the recently admitted Finland.

The process of moving the Finnish delegation to NATO headquarters will be completed in the coming weeks and months, NATO noted.

Earlier it was reported that Finland plans to increase its delegation in the North Atlantic Alliance.

The delegation will soon become one of the largest representations of Finland in the world. In one year, the representation should have almost doubled, and the relevant working groups in Brussels and the capital will also be strengthened.

Sources say that in time Helsinki will be given a place in the headquarters of the alliance in Brussels, currently the country's representatives are based in the old headquarters of NATO during the cold war.
