Zelensky met with British Foreign Minister in Kyiv

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met on Monday, June 5, in Kyiv with British Foreign Minister James Cleverley. The Ukrainian leader announced this on his Telegram channel.

A video accompanying the post shows Zelenskiy and Cleverley shaking hands before engaging in dialogue.

“I met with Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth Affairs and Development of Great Britain James Cleverley,” the Ukrainian president wrote.

During the meeting, politicians discussed important topical issues, including Ukraine's expectations from the NATO summit in Vilnius, the promotion of the Ukrainian formula for peace and the preparation of the Global Summit for its implementation, as well as the London International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine.

Zelensky also thanked London for its support. “In recent weeks, we have had talks with the Prime Minister of Great Britain, there was a direct dialogue and very important agreements were reached,” he concluded.

On June 2, it became known that US President Joe Biden will discuss military supplies to Ukraine together with the leaders of Great Britain and Denmark. In addition, he added that air defense equipment will remain the priority of military supplies from the West to Kyiv.
