Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) are actively looking for weaknesses in order to organize an offensive. This is how the course of the alleged counter-offensive of Kyiv was described by retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk in an interview with radio “Moscow speaking”.

According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine unsuccessfully tried to attack in the South Donetsk direction. As a result of this attempt, the units of Kyiv "rolled back", but they continue to look for weak spots to concentrate their forces in these areas. In addition, the military expert called the actions of sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs) a distraction.

“All aspirations [of the Armed Forces of Ukraine] should be directed to breaking through our defenses and capturing certain lines that will allow us to develop offensives into the depths of our defenses. We don't see this either. We do not observe the concentration of large forces in the form of heavy equipment in selected areas. On the night of June 4-5, there was an attempt to create something similar, ”said Matviychuk.

Earlier, Matviychuk speculated about the plans of the Russian military to Kharkov. In his opinion, already in June, the troops will take control of Kupyansk, and then the entire region. According to him, this pushes the borders deeper into Ukraine and ensures the security of the Belgorod region.
