The village of Vatutyno in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine will be renamed Zaluzhnoye, Verkhovna Rada deputy Vitaly Bezgin said on social networks. This is reported by the Ukrainian agency UNIAN.

“We supported a whole package of name changes, among which one is worth highlighting: Vatutyno (Kharkiv region) will be renamed Zaluzhnoye!” he said.

Earlier, the American newspaper The New York Times reported that Kyiv could lose military support from the West due to the use of Nazi symbols in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Far-right researcher Michael Colborn noted that the Ukrainian authorities do not think about the consequences and do not take into account how these symbols are perceived outside the country.
