The French authorities will demand the removal of diplomatic immunity from the Lebanese Ambassador to Paris, Rami Adwan, reports AFP, citing a source. According to the agency, the corresponding forgiveness should come from the French Foreign Ministry on June 5.

As noted, such a move by Paris against Advan is associated with accusations of violence against the ambassador. Complaints against the diplomat were filed by two former employees of the Lebanese embassy, in their statements they talked about alleged sexual and physical abuse in different years.

At the same time, the women accuse the Lebanese ambassador of psychological pressure on them. Advan himself, according to AFP, rejects all suspicions against him, including the facts of sexual violence.

Earlier it was reported that in Australia, lawsuits were filed with the court about the alleged sexual violence in the Houses of Parliament. As noted, the incident allegedly occurred in the office of the former Minister of Defense of the country between the ex-employee of the Liberal Party Bruce Lehrmann and his former colleague Brittany Higgins.
