Mobile formations of the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) were equipped with the latest remote demining machines (MDR) "Foliage", which refers to weapons based on new physical principles. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry, reports TASS.

“The formations of the mobile grouping of the Strategic Missile Forces are fully equipped with remote demining machines MDR Foliage,” the ministry said.

The Ministry of Defense noted that "Foliage" is designed to detect mine-explosive devices (MVD) with metal elements, destroy engineering ammunition and improvised explosive devices with electronic components. The Foliage equipment makes it possible to detect mines and land mines at a distance of up to 100 meters.

It is noted that the detection of the MVD is carried out using an induction wide-range search module. Demining devices with electronic components provides electromagnetic radiation, which creates an electromagnetic complex. In this case, an undermining or failure and blocking of the electronic components of the fuses occurs.

In March, the Listva MDR was used in the Novosibirsk missile formation during command and staff exercises to accompany the Yars missile system on combat patrol routes.
