Russian gunners in the zone of a special military operation (SVO) destroyed the Osa automated military anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU). This was reported by the Telegram channel "Military correspondents of the Russian Spring".

It is noted that the blow to the car was inflicted by artillerymen of the 2nd Army Corps of the 8th Army in the Seversk direction in the Artemovsky district of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

Earlier it was reported that units of the Russian army deployed from other directions stopped the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Artemivsk (the Ukrainian name of the city is Bakhmut). Before that, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were trying to attack Artemovsk along the flanks, but this was stopped by Russian troops.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special operation in the Donbass. Thus, according to him, Moscow responded to requests for military assistance from the heads of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR).
