Ukrainian border guards detain about 20 people a day who are trying to illegally leave the country. This was announced by the representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko on the air of the Rada TV channel, RIA Novosti writes.

“Every day, border guards detain about 20 people who are illegally trying to cross the border. This is outside the checkpoints and directly at the checkpoints,” Demchenko said, adding that 120-150 citizens are denied entry to the border every day.

The representative of the Ukrainian State Border Service added that those who want to leave the country are trying to present fake documents that could give them the right to leave. It is clarified that men who have submitted a document on the death of their wife and have three children under 18 years of age, as well as those unfit for military service for medical reasons, have this right.

In May, Vladimir Kulishov, head of the Border Service of the FSB of Russia, named the number of Ukrainian citizens who crossed the border with Russia since the beginning of the special operation. According to him, after February 24, 2022, more than 3.5 million Ukrainians were allowed to cross the border into Russian territory.
