The American company Sierra Space has conducted electrical tests of the Dream Chaser spacecraft, designed to deliver NASA cargo to the International Space Station (ISS). It is reported by SpaceNews.

The company noted that on May 31, for the first time, electricity was supplied to the ship's systems, thereby, in particular, turning on its on-board computer.

The publication recalls that in July the Dream Chaser is scheduled to be sent to NASA's Neil Armstrong test site in Ohio, where it will undergo thermal vacuum tests. According to SpaceNews, the timing of the launch of the Dream Chaser into Earth orbit depends on the readiness of the Vulcan Centaur rocket.

Last April, SpaceNews reported that Sierra Space had begun assembling the reusable Dream Chaser spacecraft.

Dream Chaser is being built by Sierra Space for NASA to deliver cargo to the ISS. Currently, spacecraft such as Progress MS, Cygnus, Dragon and H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) send cargo to the ISS.
