Continuing cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and receiving funding from it is a condition for Ukraine to survive as a state. It was named by the head of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada Daniil Getmantsev, RIA Novosti reports.

“In our current conditions, I would not want to consider the possibility of a lack of funding from the IMF at all. Today, cooperation with the foundation is not just a priority, but an extremely important condition for survival,” the deputy said.

At the same time, he noted that until today, Kyiv has not completed a single program for the entire time of cooperation with the IMF.

At the end of May, Getmantsev said that since the start of the special military operation, Kyiv had received more than $50 billion in financial assistance from the West. He clarified that 19.2 billion dollars of the total amount of funds received are grants, that is, irrevocable financial receipts.
