It is beneficial for Western countries to supply weapons to Ukraine, since they earn money on this, said Svetlana Zhurova, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, she called the condition for stopping the supply of equipment to Kyiv by the allies.

According to the deputy, they will stop the transfer of weapons to Ukraine only when they are ready to accept Russian conditions for ending the conflict.

“When they sit down at the negotiating table and understand. We are not going to give up Crimea, but there is a condition that we give up Crimea and the new territories that have joined [to Russia]. When we agree on this, then the hostilities will all end. We must sit down at the negotiating table, nothing else,” said the parliamentarian.

Earlier, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, spoke about how the Ukrainian crisis can be completed in a few weeks. He believes that this will become possible if Ukraine's allies stop the supply of military aid.

“I know how to end the war in Ukraine. It is very easy. We are ending military support for Ukraine, and the war will end in a few weeks,” he shared his opinion.

At the same time, he clarified that such a decision depends on how important the outcome of the conflict is. “If this is important, then we cannot stop military support for Ukraine, because we do not want a world that will become a world of capitulation, a world that will make Ukraine a second Belarus,” the politician concluded.
